Robert Jordan
One of the 220 tunes (and even more) writen by O'Carolan (centuries 17 and 18).
Turlough O'Carolan lived in Ireland from 1670 to 1738. He was a harp player very famous for his music writing skills.
His music has greatly been influenced by Italian baroque composers and musicians such as Vivaldi, Geminiani or Corelli. But we have very poor informations (quite nothing) about the way he was harmonizing his tunes and songs.
'Robert Jordan', like many others of his compositions, is named with deference to one of the blind harpist's many patrons.
The file below is a version of this tune I have harminized and recorded on my 36 nylon strings harp.
